  Il rapporto incrementale costo-efficacia (ICER) è stato di 619,52 euro per TVD + EFV vs 906,41 euro per COMB vs EFV. Sempre in termini di ICER, il costo necessario per ottenere la risposta in 1 paziente è stato di 4956 euro per TDV+ EFV vs 7251 euro per COMB + EFV. Questi risultati suggeriscono che dopo 96 settimane di terapia, il costo per risposta più favorevole si ottiene con la combinazione tenofovir + emtricitabina + efavirenz, che rappresenta quindi la combinazione di terapia antiretrovirale più economica come terapia dei pazienti HIV+ naïve.
